Round Rock Donuts Review!

Yesterday, my new friend, Michael took me to a place containing my wildest dreams: the BEST donuts ever! You've all heard of Round Rock donuts, right? Probably through videos like this:

Well, Here They Are!

Now, I did not have a huge doughnut but oh trust me, I'll be back. I am a HUGE fan of donuts and let me tell you, Texas Monthly named these donuts the best in the state for a GOOD reason.

This was my face after taking my first bite:

The donuts were not the most decorated, but this is because they are covered in RRD's classic yellow glaze. The color, I've learned comes from fresh eggs that are mixed into the original recipe. This makes a thick, creamy coat of sweetness, pairing perfectly with the hand rolled. yeast risen cakes. After taking a bite, the flaky doughnut straight up MELTS in your mouth. I'm usually not one for classics, but this original doughnut needs no additions.

I also tried the classic chocolate and cream filled donuts which were also good, Even then, I still HIGHLY recommend trying the classic glazed. They were FANTASTIC.

If you're a doughnut lover like me and you find yourself in the Austin, Texas area, I HIGHLY recommend making this stop on your visit. You will not be disappointed!
