Last Friday, Michael (my Texan bestie) and I went to what was probably the chillest cafe ever. Arab Cowboy in Austin is a hookah lounge that was put together by a boyfriend from Tunisia and a girlfriend from Kansas. They both loved coffee, hookah and chilling out and so Arab Cowboy Cafe and Lounge was born.

Located on West 24th Street, only a few blocks from 6th Street and the center of Austin, this cafe is in a perfect spot for University students to hang out, study and smoke. Not to mention the wonderful service and decor to add even more to this experience.

(Links to the photo sources in the descriptions, we went at night so the lighting was too low to catch the quality)

I myself had never been to a hookah lounge before, so I didn't exactly know what to expect. I honestly didn't know the first thing about how to set

up a hookah, or even really what to ask for.

Fortunately, as soon as we walked in the door, we were shown a list of flavors in both nicotine and non-nicotine options. It was $20 for a hookah and a free drink, so we got a house tea and a hookah to share. There were so many flavors to choose from, it took a bit of back and forth to actually settle on something. In the end, we chose the peach mango mint (no nicotine)- which ended up being absolutely perfect.

Now, it was around midnight and this place was totally packed. Fortunately, we were able to find two chairs in a comfy corner, then they set everything up for us.

The entire experience just ended up being so relaxing and fun for the both of us. Now, I work at five most mornings, so I rarely ever go out that late. Naturally, I felt like dressing up. When I showed up all fancy, Michael then wanted to dress up. So we ended up dressing to our best to just go chill in this totally casual cafe- now I have some fun pictures!

Short story: I could NOT get clouds as fat as Michael's, but I couldn't remember what the "lingo" for it was. So, I just kept saying "how do you get the thick? I want to make them thick!"

This was the result.

He couldn't handle the "thick".

When in Austin, check out Arab Cowboy for a chill, quality time!
