Tonight, I'm writing on a topic a bit different from what the things that I usually write about- but it's even more important to me than tips, tricks or trips so, without further ado-

In case you haven't already met her, this is Kayleen. She is my absolute best friend and I want you guys to get to know her- you will see her in a lot of my upcoming posts.
She lives back in California, but she'll soon be in Austin with me for a few days before I go back for a week to visit with her.

We've been friends since eighth grade, but it wasn't until our sophomore year that we got really close after making it into the front row of a Three Days Grace concert and catching the same drumstick. Ever since we just got closer and closer until eventually, she became my most trusted and enjoyed
friend.

When I lived in California we did EVERYTHING together: concerts, beach trips, dinners, breakfasts at the local cafe, Tangled nights, RENT nights and she even came to my school's prom because she wanted to make sure that she went with me and helped me pack my room when I was moving.
She's such a sweetheart, so smart and always genuine. Since I've moved here, she's sent me SIX presents! I always ask her why and her response is just "I saw it and I thought of youm so I wanted you to have it!"
Anyone would want her as a best friend. She will not put up with anyone that has bullshit with her or any of her friends- even if I'm the one in the wrong. One of her famous lines is:
"It's taking everything in me right now not to go and fight them"
But my personal favorite has to be:
"Fuck that, I will shit on him."
That's why she's a lion (besides the fact that she was born a Leo)- she's loud, fierce and unapologeticallyly herself. She's one of the only people that I can have conversations about both serious things and weird words that we accidentally said. One time, at Disneyland, we were walking by the lake and she pointed at a duck and yelled "it's a butt!" She didn't even realize what she said until I repeated it.

Like I said before, this will certainly not be the last of Kayleen, but I just wanted to give y'all a somewhat proper introduction before we start putting up posts together.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that she is soon going to be a co-member of This Bohemian Rose! Look out for her writing, it's coming to ya soon!

For now, these two beauties are wishing you a wonderful evening!
