How To Become The Best Version Of You (Simplified)

Everyone on Earth has expectations. We all expect things of ourselves and others as well as the world around us- and when things don't go as planned, we get frustrated.
Unfortunately, an overwhelming majority of people take this built up frustration and stow it away- ignoring their dissatisfaction until it gets to the point where they feel that they're too "far gone" to be fixed. That life was taken out of their hands and they can't get it back.
Fortunately I'm here to tell you that this is a load of crap and that you can be whoever you want to be. In its utmost simplicity, to turn your life into the one of your dreams you must:
1. Stop Bitching About it:
In short, you need to completely flip your perspective. How do you expect to create the life of a rich/fit/happy/successful person if you have the mind of a poor/fat/sad/failed person. Take the time to appreciate the things that you do have and start thinking of the things that you want as if you already have them. It's time to jump start the badass that I KNOW is inside of you.
2. Do Something:
So, you know that you are unhappy with your job/partner/self-esteem/ but aren't sure where to start. The thing is that you aren't headed anywhere better now, so if you start anywhere, you're already going somewhere. What every self help author/speaker will tell you is that in order for you to make a big change, you need to do something that scares the shit out of you. Whether it be to take out a loan or sell something important to pay for your new business, pack up your family and move across the country, start writing your book, get a personal trainer- do something that changes everything.
3. Get Excited About it:
Quit moping around! You weren't just sentenced to Hell-you're taking the first steps necessary to get to the best future that you can create for yourself, so start acting like it! This part is so critical because this energy is what is going to drive you to work as efficiently and seriously as possible. Come up with an energizing mantra. Y'all already know that mine is: "I'm a badass bitch!" Come up with something that makes you feel cool as fuck. Make a vision board and hang it above your desk or bed, in your kitchen, or have it tattooed on the backs of your eyelids so you can NEVER escape your dreams. Just kidding, but you get what I'm saying. You're your best motivator, so quit slacking on the job.
4. Don't Stop. No Matter What:
How many times have you found this random burst of energy and charisma and put it to good use for a while? Okay, now how many of you drove hard for a week or so and then decided that you were too tired or busy to take it seriously? It's likely that most of you have gone through this. I know someone who has gone through the same exact cycle MANY times: they quit a bad habit, started a good one and became absolutely determined until they fell off of the wagon and didn't get back up. Recently however, they jumped up and hit the ground running and has been more driven than ever. You go, Glenn Coco.
5. Be Patient and Diligent:
I promise you that if you are goal oriented, driven and hard working you will eventually see the fruits of your labors. The art of self transformation is one of faith, hard work, patience and pixie dust. With each piece in place, there's no way that you can fail. Scratch that. You decide if bumps on the road are failures or fumbles. Never stop running, even if you trip and fall right on your face.
Over the last three or so weeks, I have been writing a personal transformation workbook about this very topic. I didn't want to announce it before I knew that I was serious about it, but you can consider this my official announcement!
This post is essentially a short and sweet summary of what I'm writing about and if you like this, you can get the book as soon as it hits my online store!
