Disney Dreams Part 1: Cinderella

I looked up "rich" in my search and this Cinderella GIF was one of the first things that came up. I am so happy that it did.

Cinderella worked so hard every single day doing nothing but scrubbing floors and cleaning up after her evil family and even still, she was happy. She sang with birds, made friends with mice and when she realized that she had nothing to wear to the Prince's Ball, she made her own dress. She worked so hard with every obstacle in her way because her heart made a wish- and she was determined to have that wish come true. Even when all hope seemed to be lost, her heart was set on her dreams coming true- so everything fell into place. When the fairy godmother gave Cinderella her every wish, she went above and beyond to win over the heart of the Prince. This badass, bibbity bobbity bitch not only made it to the ball in a carriage made from a pumpkin and a dress that materialized out of thin air, but she married the Prince and got to move into his castle.

I've coincidentally had this song stuck in my head for about a week now:

"No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing the dream that you wish will come true." -Cinderella

Moral of this story: Fairy Godmothers are real and they recognize good hearts and hard work. They disguise themselves in the forms of job offers, letters of acceptance, and big break checks, but your fairy godmother is watching and waiting for you to make it big- all you need is faith, trust and a shit ton of dedication.

We can learn a lot from Disney. Part of the reason that these movies touch our hearts and bring out crazy emotions (making my dad cry) is because of the things that our heroes/heroines go through before their happily ever after. Sure, talking animals and magic are usually involved, but we have our own versions of that in our own world, don't we?

Reach for the stars! Your Prince Charming/Castle is waiting for you to dream big!
