Fear is a natural instinct that all living beings possess. If a mouse spots a cat, its reaction is to turn and run. The same goes for spiders and people. If I see a spider, you'd better know that I am not sticking around in that room for longer than necessary.

Ah, The Unknown. It's the place where people and dreams go to die. Where everything goes wrong and we lose everything.

Potentially.

See, The poor Unknown has gained a bad reputation from all the people that have gone in blind and fucked everything up for themselves. See, the truth is that so many unhappy dreamers go into The Unknown expecting an abyss- somewhere to say "fuck it", irrationally throw assets away and blindly pursue a path that has yet to have been thought of.

Okay, listen up. All metaphors aside, the world is full of possibilities. There's the now, working your current job, going to your current school, running with the crowd that you currently run with- in the now everything stays moderately the same. Familiar surroundings are steady, they're stable- even if they're ridiculously uncomfortable. In the now, you know what's going on and you are coping to deal with it.

In the two seconds from now, or two minutes from now, you could stick around. You have every right to continue living life or slugging through- but if you're reading this, it's likely that you want to change something.

I have 3 secrets that will help you to escape your now:

1. The future is less than a millisecond away- With every inhale and exhale, time is passing you by. You have the ever-present ability to do something different for your future- to make your now into a place that you feel fulfilled and truly happy.

2. The Unknown is just that- You have no idea what could happen if you decide to make a change. By holding onto current pain, you know what happens. Your shitty job is going to stay shitty, your shitty relationships are going to stay shitty, and your shitty health is going to stay shitty until you decide that "fine" isn't enough for you. There is a world of possibilities even better than your current life that you cannot reach if you don't step out of your comfort zone and take the first step.

3. Change consciously- You can throw all of your cards up in the air and get new ones, but you have to keep in mind that which you're working towards. If you want to leave your desk job and go work with children, then you need to apply, learn, inquire about your dream job. Take every step that you can in the right direction to swing things as far in your favor as you can. If you're going to move across the country with no home to look forward to, make sure you have people that want to support you, an inflatable mattress in your car just in case. If you're going to jump into The Unknown, make sure you have something to keep you stable while shit hits and flies off the fan. You are still changing your life, even if you're not running face first into a wall without a helmet.

The life that you want is but a step away. All you have to do is look the worst case scenarios in the face and say:
